The NRA has received a document preservation notice in connection with the investigation being undertaken by the New York Attorney General according to a source familiar with the matter.

Firstly, the New York AG has jurisdiction over orgs doing business in their state. So unless NRA stopped operating entirely in NY, she would still have jurisdiction
Second, the NRA as an entity can't just disappear from one state and appear in the next
They have contracts they have to honor, they have business ties, they have assets they can't just transfer

Thirdly, in New York in particular:

So that path is blocked too
