"Doxxing." Dylan keeps using that word. I do not think it means what he thinks it means. He Tweets under his real name with correct information about his medical school. Unless someone's been posting his home address and private telephone number, he's not being doxxed. 1/
If someone is paying Dylan's private information online, I, of course, unequivocally condemn such actions. However, I suspect rust that's probably not what's been happening. 2/
Barring that, what is really happening is that Dylan is being criticized—and quite deservedly so—for his poor understanding of basic cancer biology and his transparent attempt to bring the right wing outrage machine down on the school. 3/
And for what? Because Dylan's fee-fees were hurt by a perfectly reasonable comparison between the biology of cancer invasion and the behavior of placental invasion, a similarity that's been acknowledged and studied for at least 120 years. 4/
Basically, Dylan's religion has interfered with his ability to science on this particular topic. In this, he reminds me of medical students I wrote about a long time ago who rejected evolution. One was even a young earth creationist. 5/ respectfulinsolence.com/2006/04/26/our…

Here's the thing. Science doesn't care about your religious beliefs. If you can't accept relatively uncontroversial scientific conclusions related to medicine that conflict with your religion or ideology, you shouldn't be a doctor. 7/
At the very least, you shouldn't be a doctor whose practice involves treating patients whose diseases and health conditions involve the science you find so offensive. 8/8
