A reminder of what @RalphNortham actually said despite efforts by folks like @BrianStelter to gaslight us into ignoring it. I know that this was forgotten by some because of the KKK / blackface yearbook photo that emerged a couple days later, but it’s worth listening to again.
Important to remember is that Governor Northam made these bizarre disturbing comments in the context of defending the extreme abortion bill that had been proposed in Virginia’s House of Delegates which, by its own sponsor’s admission, would’ve allowed abortions up through birth.
Here is Virginia House Delegate @KathyKLTran admitting that her proposed abortion bill would have allowed abortion through all nine months of pregnancy — including partial birth abortion.
