Re electability: worth remembering that @KamalaHarris has won bigger elections—twice—than anyone else in Dem field, and yes I'll include Biden b/c no one really votes for the VP.
@KamalaHarris She's won California state-wide elections twice. California has 10 million more people than next most populous state, TX. 20 million more than either Fla/NY.
@KamalaHarris This isn't the best or even leading measure of whatever we think we mean when we say electable. But Harris and Gillibrand have brought more voters to the table. Put another way: millions of people have already decided to vote for them at least once.
@KamalaHarris One thing that is undoubtedly true is that the road to the Democratic nomination lies through women and especially black women. Anyone who doesn't win them over isn't going to be the nominee.
@KamalaHarris PS: Harris won 3 times in CA. Twice for AG. Once for Senator. And yeah the first AG was a squeaker, but her Senate victory was a landslide, over a Dem Rep. (b/c CA has ranked elections...). Anyway, again, this isn't best/only measure of electability but shouldn't be ignored.
