Sure, everyone is free to voice their opinion on a given subject. However, if your opinion is based on ignorance and muddy thinking, don't complain when people laugh at you, and -- more importantly -- don't get angry when your opinion is torn to pieces by informed criticism.
I'm saying this because there are too many people abusing the concept of #freespeech nowadays. They think it simply means you're entitled to say whatever the hell you want to say -- even if it's patently untrue -- without any consideration of the social consequences.
Of course, I wouldn't recommend silencing them with censorship, but this kind of behavior is grossly irresponsible and needs to be called out. Remember, the First Amendment is intended to protect your right to speech, not to shield you from social consequences and criticism.
