jesus fuck who gives a shit. this doesn’t deserve an article. This isn’t journalism, it’s cheerleading a despot.
There are three — THREE! — reporters’ bylines on that catastrophe by the way.
We have a president who couldn’t find Texas on a map of Texas and is shredding our constitution and dooming our children to climate disaster and reporters are transfixed like dim-witted 5th-graders at the wit of his schoolyard insults.
This is an extremely correct and extremely obvious point many reporters pretend not to understand.
The people have spoken.

Here’s every Republican president since 1961:

NIXON: Watergate

FORD: Pardoned Nixon

REAGAN: Iran-Contra

BUSH: Iran-Contra (plus I-C pardons!)

BUSH: Lied his way into war

TRUMP: Sought, received, and covered up electoral help from hostile foreign nation.

The rot is deep.
These are not minor scandals. This isn’t a deputy undersecretary taking football tickets from a lobbyist. This is a political party that, for 70 years, has at its highest levels believed itself above the law; above *democracy.*

So when some “establishment Republican” like Bill Barr goes to work for Trump and Very Serious People talk about how serious and high-minded he’ll be because of those establishment credentials, they have it exactly wrong. The GOP establishment is rotten.

The appropriate standard for judging a president who takes office with the help of a hostile foreign power he encouraged to attack our elections, and then impedes an investigation of it, has never been whether you think he can be criminally convicted.
Had you outlined this situation 5 years ago, with no party labels attached, there is nobody — not Barr, not Pelosi, not Nadler, not McConnell, not Graham, not the New York Times — who would’ve hesitated to say the president must be impeached.
I'm not a lawyer and won't speculate about what could or couldn't win criminal conviction, but Mueller's report, like everything we've all seen with our own eyes for more than two years, makes clear that Donald Trump should resign or be impeached immediately.

Here is the president of the United States once again not-so-subtly hinting that his supporters — including the police and military — may become violent on his behalf.
In any kind of sane nation the president repeatedly suggesting his supporters, including police and military, will turn violent if he doesn’t get his way would be the stuff of front page scandal and perhaps cause for removal.
In America, however, Trump mocking Beto’s hand gestures will be bigger news than Trump suggesting maybe his supporters will have to kill liberals.

Dems have lost control of the executive branch and pretty much the judicial branch. They hold half of the legislative - and they're trying to make it work as if it were also the other two.
This is also why they're trying to prop up the so-called "Fourth Estate" (#journalism, that is) as a new fourth branch of government - because it's one they will always control
Or, rather, it's one they will always control as long as no one gets in the way of #siliconcensorship - that is, silencing effective voices on the right who publish news, information and commentary via social media.

So far, no one has.

Both of these texts are enigmatic and have lead to creative, yet ultimately unsupported, theories about the historical event to which they refer. HaNS 660 was written by a man named Marṭ ben Yaśkor, who states: wa-ṣoleba ḥabīb-oh ‘and his beloved was crucified’.
In the 2nd (AbJ), a man called śāhem dates his return from the desert to the year ṣlb h-yh[]dy ʾbkr. I haven’t vocalized this text because that depends entirely on our interpretation. A Jordanian scholar named Sabri Abbadi suggested that it refers to the crucifixion of Christ.
