Very insightful.

I despise these games, and the tools who play them.

I don’t play well in hierarchies. Never have, never will.

I will choose my own hills to die on, even if I’m the only one standing there.

How I detest these self-righteous status seekers.
This is another point that often goes unremarked. SOMETIMES it is hard to side with truth BECAUSE it is easy.

If something is PLAINLY TRUE, it doesn’t take much specialness on your part to believe it. You don’t stand out. You are just one of the many.
But to really side with TRUTH, you have to it when it is EASY as well as when it is HARD.

It’s cheaply bought false virtue to assert falsehoods and pretend they are “hard truths.”
“Wokeness” is a NARRATIVE that LEGITIMIZES the elite as elite. It is a neo-aristocratic teaching of moral superiority.

God above, do I detest this sort of MORALISM (which should not be confused with actual morality).
Oh, it would be SO easy for me to play this elite game of woke virtue signalling. I’m extremely highly educated. I could spin out book after book of “woke” rhetoric.

But I can’t stand these people, nor their apologetics for elitism and the moral superiority of the vicious.
It’s why I knew almost at once that GamerGate was ethically in the right. Because they were being furiously denounced as “sinners” by the self-righteous elite. It’s why ComicsGate is in the right. It’s why we have a culture war, which is the cosmopolitan elite vs the people.
