This is a good thread explaining the thinking behind the @APPGBritMuslims definition of Islamophobia.
This is a hotly contested issue. I prefer to think in terms of good and bad arguments rather than good and bad faith.

I think there is a strong case for continuing to use 'Islamophobia' and explaining it well rather than switching to another invented word like 'antimuslimness'
I would be wary of this kind of approach which offers platitudes (anti-Muslim hate is serious and bad), criticisms (using 'Islamophobia' = a kind of blasphemy law) but no solutions ("a clearer definition is indeed needed, but not this one")
I am not averse to tweaking the language of the definition and examples offered by the @APPGBritMuslims - indeed on the basis of the discussion generated by thread yesterday, I think there are some issues. But engagement should be constructive not destructive
