How to debunk the Left's lies about the Alabama abortion bill:

1) Women who get abortions will go to jail! FALSE. Section 5 of the bill says "No woman upon whom an abortion is performed or attempted to be performed shall be criminally or civilly liable."
2) Women who miscarry will be punished! FALSE. Miscarriage is the natural death of an unborn baby. Abortion is the deliberate killing of an unborn baby. This bill will NOT penalize women who have abortion or miscarry.
3) Sexist men are imposing this on women! FALSE. The Governor of AL is a woman! You can't make this up. Literally the person who signed this bill into law is a WOMAN.
4) It violates bodily autonomy! FALSE. We don't have absolute bodily autonomy. As a woman, I don't have the right to use my BODY (i.e., my fists) to punch somebody else in the face. We don't have right to use our body to violate other people's rights. That applies to abortion.
5) Abortion is healthcare! FALSE. Abortion ends a human life. That is not healthcare. That's the OPPOSITE of healthcare.
6) This will cause millions of women to die from back alley abortions! FALSE. Dems claim 1.2M women died from illegal abortions before Roe, but CDC reports show in 1972 (year before Roe), 39 women died from illegal abortion. For context,12 women died from LEGAL abortion in 2008.
7) Repubs are forcing victims of child rape to have babies! FALSE. It's despicable to exploit victims of child rape to justify 1M abortions in the U.S. Less than 1% of abortions are bc of rape/incest. Death penalty should be levied against the RAPIST, not innocent unborn baby.
8) There is a constitutional right to abortion! FALSE. There is no constitutional right to abortion... even in 14th Amend (on which Roe v. Wade was built), which reads "nor shall the state deprive any person of the right to LIFE, liberty, or property without due process of law.”
9) Settled law can't be overturned! FALSE. Roe is wrong & SHOULD be overturned. SCOTUS has done it before. In Dred Scott, SCOTUS ruled black ppl weren’t citizens & 14th overruled. In Plessy, SCOTUS ruled for segregation & 60 years later Brown v. Board of Education overturned.
