CHOOSE LIFE OVER DEATH
I've returned briefly, as it may be too late next time. If you are pressed on issues of life, share with those you trust in the dm, even if you think you've troubled us enough. I'm ready to go broke, if your life is at stake. Don't ever contemplate suicide!
I have permission to share this. There's a handle that DM'ed me a lengthy details of her predicament. Her story sufficiently fills a life that's 50yrs on earth, but she's 21. Friends, suicidal tendencies doesn't necessarily correlate with the magnitude of the problem.
Its about the fragile spirit embodied in the person you see. Comparison that we've survived bigger problems is misleading. This matter doesn't necessarily point at those who make the most noise about their issues. Let's begin to watch those who smile over every problem, closely.
Going forward, if i know you are going through it and i don't have the wherewithal to fix your issues, if i ask, "how are you?" And you reply me with, "it is well." I will place you under serious surveillance. This positive confession cliche is fast becoming a deceitful facade.
I have never met d person that triggered this narration before. I get confused when she posts dashing pictures of her portraits captioned, "let me light up your TL," and this and that. Her personality on the TL contradicts who she is in my DM. There are many around you like that.
At first, many times i offered her financial help, many times she rejected. We exchanged numbers the first time she ever asked me for money, for her final year project. She sent me 47 sms of repetitive gratitude, over 3 months. I had to threaten to block her before she stopped.
Many times, she'd tease, i must have become tired of her problems. When i asked what made her feel so, she reminded me her immediate family members are. Her dad blocked her after her mum remarried, and her step dad demands for sex, if she ask for as little as N500 for tfare.
Few days ago, she called as if she wanted to talk about something, then she hesitated, saying she only wanted to say hello. She called thrice afterwards, yet she said nothing. I almost ran out of patience, probing what she wanted, and why she has refused to say something. 😥
I was fooled 'all is well' when she started posting her portraits captioned, "I am free at last," tweeting about self love, bantering with love, smile and dancing emojis. I called her to ask what all the drama of calling and not saying anything was about, but she didn't pick.
Few hours ago, i realized she had deactivated her twitter account. Out of curiosity, i called her again and a female voice identified as her mother said she jumped into a deep well in Ogbomosho, and the only thing she complained about was where to find N18,000 for clearance.
