Let's all just step back for a second and remind ourselves that the mere fact that the President hired his son-in-law to be a presidential advisor—despite having no government experience or special expertise to merit the job—is itself an ethical, national-security scandal
Imagine if this were any other administration, Democratic or Republican, where a president with no prior government experience hired his son-in-law solely because he was family, and then it turned out that credible evidence existed that implicated both men in money laundering 
Then imagine that this scandal—which would have been the single biggest scandal in many prior administrations—is only one of numerous ethical and national security scandals that are unique to this administration in quality and quantity.
