Before I made a name for myself as a cat-obsessed Twitter person, I actually used to hate cats, and never more than during the years I lived in Taiwan.

But next time we go back to Taiwan, WE WILL GO TO HOUTONG
Just showed this to my wife. She says we went there, and now I'm wondering who her secret boyfriend was
(We did go to Shifen quite often, which is nearby, and we adopted this little lady and her late brother after our last visit to Taiwan together)

Trump came into office posing an unprecedented array of conflicts of interest stemming from his refusal to separate himself from his business empire.

Instead of acting as a check on this uniquely Trumpian assault on ethics, his political allies embraced it and helped fuel it
Note, this is not a continuation of an existing trend. Spending at Trump properties by GOP party committees, candidates and the like was almost nonexistent before Trump ran.

It changed because he and his political allies consciously decided to change it

But we don't know, for example, how much is spent by individuals, companies or foreign governments that have interests before this administration.

Let's all just step back for a second and remind ourselves that the mere fact that the President hired his son-in-law to be a presidential advisor—despite having no government experience or special expertise to merit the job—is itself an ethical, national-security scandal
Imagine if this were any other administration, Democratic or Republican, where a president with no prior government experience hired his son-in-law solely because he was family, and then it turned out that credible evidence existed that implicated both men in money laundering

Twitter seems to be banning or suspending accounts belonging to critics of the Chinese government. It started yesterday May 31th. Here is one report - I noticed a sudden loss of followers yesterday, I checked, it was mainly China critics. Twitter❤️🇨🇳 Amazing! @mouse @1GigiSims
This is happening as an effort to silence #China critics ahead of the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre, which is next Tuesday. Twitter is helping China do its dirty work to silence the legitimate opposition. Twitter has hit a new all time low! 👎👎👎
One other possibility that can't be discounted is that the #Chinese government is hacking into Twitter and is deleting the accounts of Chinese critics. I did hear reports in the past, that Chinese hackers were able to get into Twitter & do that.
