I started reading A Song of Ice and Fire in the last millennium and I'm not actually sure I want to know the ending, given the way everything else has gone.
I have to go back and watch the Dany vision of the future sequence from season 2
Yup. Season 2 ep10 vision sequence. She walks through the ruined throne room, snow falling down, and almost touches the exact same part of the throne and then is drawn away to talk to the dead.
Ultimately the dragon had it right. The quest for the bloody throne twisted anyone who sought it, and the best thing was to melt it to slag and get on with it.

Curious to hear what identity verification mechanism Facebook is working on so bad actors can't launder money as easily as they have laundered information, conspiracy, propaganda.
My vote remains "no" on these companies controlling anything else until they stop acting like it's their first day on stopping the mindf*ckery

As @chrizap once told me, the answer to social media disinfo involves convincing tech minds about fundamental values of democracy and the rule of law. For now, all I see is moral laziness salved by infinity cash and goals for further dominance. What world do they want to build?

If you're reading books for "points" or to "get page count", you're not actually reading but playing a game. You're not a reader. You can't call yourself a fan of the series. You don't really like reading. You might as well count on your fingers to infinity and say "HIGH SCORE!"
