Two institutions that have been on my radar for a while - TD Bank and Wells Fargo!

... both showing their asses!
I once suspected @TDBank_US was part of the secret subpoena due to their customer Fusion GPS...

Congress wanted these records, as well as others.

Wells Fargo was on my radar bc of their funny business on a “Fast & Furious” type scandal that took place in Las Vegas.

Over 2k guns are GONE - I treaded very lightly in this thread but now I’m determined to give y’all some weekend reading.

This Will was born via a referendum in June 2016.

This Will wanted Brexit - the departure of the UK from the EU.

The second People's Will was born a year later, somewhat unexpectedly, via a general election.

This Will wanted Brexit to be done by the means of a Hung Parliament.

By a cross-party majority, not by a majority of just one party.

This Will was careful.

Since money used to primarily take the form of coins stamped by the government, people just assumed that gov controlled the total amount of money. Seems logical, right? And that assumption has continued.

But it's wrong. Nobody controls the money supply. It's on auto-pilot. (1/n)
First, let's see where most money comes from. While the coins and notes in your pocket did come from the gov (you can tell because they're signed by the Treasury Secretary), most money is actually "bank money," that has no physical form, but only exists on your bank's ledger (2/)
How does bank money get created? There are several ways, but the main one is when banks make loans. For instance, if you draw on a line of credit at your bank, the bank will add dollars to your account, created from thin air. This also happens when you use a credit card. (3/)
