I am furious. I continue to be disappointed in the actions @SanfordHealth. As I shared 2 months ago they started force tapering. It was blanketed for all those on opioids. No consideration re ind health dx, hx or tx attempted. My son by def is legacy patient even though he /1

is only 17. I have attempted to find other options at quite a high cost financially as well as emotionally. Pain meds were found to provide best QoL. We were fortunate and are under care of only pm physician that will provide pm. Today, again not even 2 months /2

after @SanfordHealth ‘communication’ to inds being forced tapered, they have now indicated they are done doing tapers. That they will prescribe no more pain meds. There were MANY legacy patients and now a forced taper means cut cold turkey. This is cruel, inhumane and /3

highly dangerous. I am at a total loss as to how a clinic/hospital has no issue w inflicting harm on inds. How they are ok w denying treatment that they provided for years. @SanfordHealth is complicit in the harms that have happened and will happen. I pray there is not lose /4

*loss of life. I am angered and saddened by the lack of response from @SenJohnHoeven and @SenKevinCramer office. People are being harmed and NO ONE is acknowledging the harm. NO ONE is standing up and saying this is NOT ok. Even with the statement @CDCDirector /5

provided about misapplication of GL and the recommendations of HHS pain task force great harms continue. My kids did NOT ask for their disease. When does this end @cmoHHS? @SanfordHealth has no other options for my son. They have provided lip service to the dev of /6

I searched out the only pain psychologists in ND a few years back. This is just a few things I have done. It is typical of what those in cp do - we try everything! We have been abandoned, harmed, traumatized but the very entities that are in place to help and care /9
