I'm finally catching up with the EP elections and think this is the most striking tweet I've seen so far.

So after all the noise and fury, turnout looks barely changed since 2014.
There were local variations of course but no district hit 50%, as far as I can tell. telegraph.co.uk/politics/2019/…
The biggest winner therefore wasn't the BXP but 'Meh'.
In all honesty, what do these results tell us about anything, apart from there being some motivated people on the 'extremes' of both sides?
With these turnout figures, one can't even confidently say that we know the upper limit of No Deal support. Nor that there are now x% who would vote Remain in a 2nd Ref (even more so because we don't even know what a vote for Cons & Lab indicates).
This just sums it up. We've no idea what these elections tell us about Brexit (except that we're probably as divided and confused as ever).
