Anyone that follows my tweets will pass me up for a FEMINISTS. I wish I could argue for or against FEMINISM, for or against LGBTQIA and the other many EUPHEMISMs we coin to push forward our absurdities and to justify our flaws and abnormalities as humans.
Most times the problems stem from the denial of the RIGHTS and PRIVILEGES of the smaller, less vocal groups, by the much larger groups. It happens in every facet of our struggles. We see this even in our work places, in politics, unions et cetera.
What most of us fail to understand is, if you don't allow people their rights, at some point they'd fight for it and it'll come embarrassingly in many of these group advocacy that we are fighting very hard to silence today. At that point, we'd quote every quotable,
reference every past authority and at some point fight bloody to shut them down, but it'll be already too late.

Let me look at feminism as it stands today. There is hardly anyone so called Feminist or their anti that can give you a very universally acceptable reason
for why the are fighting on either side. The only thing that is common to both is the "ESTABLISHMENT FOR THEIR RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES". The woman wants to be heard, respected and allowed her choices. The man no less so. It is clearly a battle of whims.
So far though, the male specie have the upperhand because he is naturally blessed with physicality and have succeeded in asserting his dominance through manipulation of religious texts.
Let me draw inference from classical electricity. To complete a circuit, the negative and positive electrodes must be equally charged with their opposite ions. They are oppositly charged, but to achieve a complete circuit they have to be equally charged!
Where there's a shortage of charged ions in one end, the resultant is a short-circuit. This in my opinion is the relationship between the man and the woman. Nature have designed us equally but differently in many ways. We can keep fighting, but we can't change it!
However, we can and should always negotiate our terms. That's what differentiates us from my circuit above. We have mind. It means we can think and if we can think it means we should have choices and where any group is not allowed to express such choice, I can give only
one definition to such relationships: MASTER & SLAVE. But even the slave gets tired and someday they'd fight back. An avoidable battle if you ask me. All that is needed is allow them have CHOICES, that is their RIGHT and where you can STOP them, grow above your EGO
and let them express their choices, that is their PRIVILEGES.

Now to why I join the female battle, particularly in the North. It is because there's no group that has manipulated religion to serve the male folks like my Muslim brothers. World over it is the same.
We get this subtle attacks on the TL for voicing our minds, fortunately thought, you can't shut us up!

With precise subtilty, we manage to ingrain verdicts from scholars and reports from hadith into the minds of Muslims over the verdict of the Qur'an.
You didn't get the verdict for pudah in the Qur'an, you got it from the Hadith with chains of narration. You didn't get the verdict on marriageable age from the Qur'an, you got it from scholarly logics and multiple conflicting narrations from the hadith.
That a woman cannot go out on her own, work or fend for herself, you didn't get these from the Qur'an, but rather again from multiple conflicting narrations from the hadith. In all of these you prefer to follow a book for which there has to be consensus of ulamas
before a verdict is reached as against THE BOOK that we all agree is an unadulterated work of the Almighty? Read suratun-Nisaa, sura An-nur, suratul Talaq and Suratul Tahrim. These chapters touch on the place and roles of the woman. Yes I agree the woman plays more role
in building a home, but there's no where it says she must do it, and where she agrees there's no where I read that she should do it like a slave. In fact for a former slave woman, the easiest way of giving her freedom then was through marriage and Allah says you become EQUALS!
Let me not make it too long even though I have more to say, but when some of you arewa brothers come on the TL shading us, please be kind to quote our handles so we can get talking properly.

I'd always say this: I am not a Mallam and I am not infallible,
in fact there's an off chance you'd find me wanting, it won't however excuse your smuggish excesses and definitely won't change truth to falsehood.

Give them right to choose and make decisions as they'd want. That is not FEMINISM, that is JUSTICE. JUSTICE brings EQUALITY!
