Well... I asked Dogpatch to take down my Furry Trash image from an old article through email. They never responded. They just replaced it with this condescending, mocking, belittling image instead. Just... Wow. They really didn't get the nature of my request. This wasn't about>
>using the concept of "furry trash" it was always about sharing my design which is sold on various items without permission. I have no issue with people claiming "furry trash" as a concept! Why is Dogpatch deliberately "misunderstanding" my request, then mocking me in the>
>revision I requested? This is just... so demeaning feeling, and I'm not gonna go replying to the email for fear of them doing something else mean. But this was just... so disappointing.
I'm sorry if I don't sound super articulate right now. My heart is just really sinking. What kind of a response is this? How do people hold this website up as anything but a tabloid-y. They could've just said, "Oops, yo, sorry. We'll take your image down." But time after time>
>they proved that they really don't want to be reasonable with their responses. First, they just added a link without contacting me. Then they blocked anyone who agreed that they did something wrong, esp. people who demonstrated the EASE of finding a source for the image search.
It was the use of *my specific image* that was the issue. They must be pretending to not understand, right? I've said it pretty plainly/clearly several times. Several other people have told them the specific issue. Now, it is the lack of professionalism in dealing with it that's>
>the current issue. I guess I expected a more professional response. I politely ask them to take it down, simply and cleanly, and I get this. Mockery. I am just! so! baffled! by this behavior.
tabloid* not tabloid-y
Part of me wants to just email them again, "How old are you?" because holy shit this behavior is so childish I can't believe it.
As much as I want some kind of closure from all this--an apology, or some kind of change in their behavior--I'm not holding onto hope, and I kind of want it just to be done with. So I guess it's whatever at this point. Just was giving an update to the situation.
dogpatch.press/2016/09/26/mos… That's the article I asked for my image to be removed from, btw. In place, they put up a mockery of my request, as I displayed in the first tweet. This isn't even the recent article they were called out about a few weeks ago when Linez noticed it.
This is so hypocritical. Also they're incorrect--you pay for licensing, not copyright. THIS LITERALLY PROVES THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN TO ASK PERMISSION?!?!
They probably just think I'm some "clout chaser" trying to hop on the bandwagon of calling people out or something. I am really against that in general, and I don't want this attention, I wish it just hadn't ever happened, or that they just acted maturely about this.
I don't even want to be making a big deal out of this. It just hurt to see them react this way. I'm just gonna be done with this now. It sucks. But it's done.
