I've sacrificed the past ~3 years to work full time to ensure justice

1) for the pre-teen and teenage girls trafficked by Donald John Trump in the mid-1990s+, & for all survivors who see their abuser reflected in his acts & words daily.
2) for families of Hastert's victims who might not know their sons were victims of the man who was previously highest ranking serial child molester, so they don't find out through crude internal emails that will likely be Wikileaked from SMARTech,

Until a fetus reaches ~28 weeks, it doesn't feel pain.

What is pain? You know what it feels like, but from a functional perspective, it's a switch in a circuit, meant to cause you move away from a harmful stimulus - like a hand on a hot stove, or a chemical...
And pain also helps keep you from engaging in normal activity that adds further injury to an existing wound.
How the circuit works:

1) nerve cells in epithelial tissue, like skin, called "nociceptors" have sensors that detect harmful stimuli, like heat, chemicals, pressure/impact

This. We need to reframe Government as a Service for citizens, not a bureaucracy.

Those inside government often have policy expertise, not UX chops. Part of governance is managing the expectations & experience of citizens in dealing with government.
One experiment I'd love to see a Presidential candidate address: Embed small 3-10 person UX teams at each agency to participate in the process of developing policy, practice, + streamlining interfaces between government agencies, citizens, and other stakeholders.
Citizens who have not committed any crime and who are not seeking to profit from an interaction should NOT be forced to spend their own money to achieve successful outcomes when interacting with the government.

I’m excited.

On Monday, I’ll be starting a journey to Northern Canada to visit my hometown.

I haven’t been there in almost a decade.

Pakistan’s economy is recovering from what can be best described as a ‘consumption led’ growth period that was financed by short term debt instruments and a stifling of investment climate. Consumption as % of GDP went up from the worrying figure of 91.8% in FY14 to 94.5% in 2018.
Correspondingly, total gross investment (that includes government investment also) in Pakistan was reported at just 16.4% of GDP in FY18 whereas India’s figure stands at close to 30% and Bangladesh is at 31% of GDP.

So, because it seems a lot of people are having trouble with it, I'm going to talk about Jessica Price and ArenaNet.
First, context. Jessica Price was on the narrative team at ArenaNet (Guild Wars 2). She tweeted a thread about the complexity of making an MMORPG character narratively.
A content creator ("ArenaNet Partner"), Deroir, took the opportunity to contradict her and say "It's actually not that hard, just do this." Price blew him off and then RT'd it as an example of how it's par for the course when you're a female dev - get told how to suck eggs daily.

Price gets Wagner to say that the prior jury found infringement, but never decided what constitutes an article of manufacture. Wagner also says it took him time to get data from Samsung because the data is highly confidential, and there were language issues.
Wagner says Samsung pays him $795 per hour, and Apple's damages expert Julie Davis charges $900 per hour. Wagner testified yesterday that he has worked over 8,000 hours on the case since 2011. So he's made about **$6.36 million** by my tally.
The parties finished with Wagner, and both parties have rested their case. Judge Koh says she needs some time to finalize jury instructions, so she let the jurors take a 15-minute break.
