Cheers erupt from the back of the juror lounge as they announce the judge no longer needs us and we are free to go (~60 of us had been told to come back after lunch). Thus concludes today in jury duty.

Confirmed: DOJ has alerted groups that sued over the 2020 Census citizenship question that the administration will print the forms *without* the question — notice comes after Trump reportedly mulled delaying the count to try to find a way to include the Q. More shortly.

On the heels of SCOTUS deciding to take up the Trump admin's decision to end DACA next term (see: buzzfeednews.com/article/zoetil…), here are the latest numbers on the status of the program: assets.documentcloud.org/documents/6178…
Per court injunctions, the administration has been required to continue processing renewal applications for existing DACA recipients— this table shows that during the first three quarters of FY19, 285,471 renewals were approved and 2,383 were denied
Note that the table shows a small number of initial applications being accepted — the administration hasn't been required to accept new applications while litigation is pending, so these appear to be applications submitted before the Trump admin announced it was rescinding DACA

I had to report for jury duty this morning. I'll be sitting here for a while. So I might as well talk about what's been going on with me. This may be somewhat meandering. So apologies in advance.
The important thing to put out there is that I no longer work at Lever. I was Director of Product Engineering at Lever for almost a year and a half. I resigned before Christmas and my last day was Jan 4.
I haven't decided what I'm doing next. But I have made a pretty important decision. I'm probably going to take a step back from engineering management for a while. I need a break.

 Many news sites refer to Badwan as either a protestor or a demonstrator who was shot and killed by the #IDF. The photo on the left, from the DailyMail, states Badwan is a protestor. The photo on the right from CGTN states Badwan is a protestor as well.

 The problem is Badwan wasn’t there to protest in the way most people think. This video was taken Friday afternoon at the Karni crossing where Palestinians were clashing w/ #IDF soldiers. At the end, you can see Badwan being evacuated after getting shot by the #IDF.
