I hadn't been to a Fry's in a long time. It's always been weird, but it seems like in 2019 it's… extremely weird. Fry's temple entranceA temple entrance for cartsA hanging piece of a temple with a sign that says
Entire product lines missing. Ghostly zones. Empty cafe coolers. An empty shelf for Microsoft SurfaceA large empty areaA cafe with no one in it
One aisle was:
• Metal detector wands and handcuffs
• Copper breadboards in all shapes and size
• Mace
• Additional breadboard
Fry's might not be here much longer. It was such a wonderland — the only store where you could buy a case, a motherboard, a CPU, a hard drive, and come home and build for the rest of the day. Now it's largely As Seen On TV and survival bracelets.
But one thing hasn't changed: Fry's 30-day return policy. If anyone wants this special edition "Happy Birthday Luisa" Motorola Moto E5 it's at the San Jose store.
In conclusion: you should go visit a Fry's now before they're gone. There's nothing like them and there will likely never be anything like them.

(Also: the original Fry's was 50% electronic components and 50% groceries including fresh produce?!? Now THAT'S my dream store)
THREAD EXTEND. Here are some bonus pictures I took of the Burbank Fry's — my favorite for theme and design. A spaceship crashed into the front of Fry'sA giant UFOA fighter jet on the ceiling
The octopus tentacles ripping up the tiles is just phenomenal. And this is why I say, visit your Fry's while you still can!
