Well here we are then, way too early for the 1201. 
My Xplorer service to Canberra, the nation’s capital. It’s half an hour until it leaves, and all passengers have reserved seats, but as soon as the doors open the boomers rush in and start reclining their seats.

I’ve set up my little work nook. Pro Tip: If you’re doing the Sydney-Canberra Xplorer service, first class seat 41 is the window seat next to the power outlet.
1201 AEST, and we’re off!
Approaching Campbelltown, probably.
An Endeavour set waits at Campbelltown. They’re the same as an Xplorer mechanically*, but are single-class with 3-2 seating and no buffet car.

The other good thing about catching the train to Canberra is experiencing the shitty mobile reception along the way, because ALL THE 5G IN THE CITY but yeah not even 3G for bunches of the journey out here.
