Neither Lab nor Con in top two. This is the kind of polling that could see the Tinkerbell Effect turn savagely against the big two if it is sustained and growing numbers of voters start to think of the next election as a Brexit Party vs Lib Dems contest.
There is also the potential Westminster Tinkerbell Effect - defection becomes a lot more attractive if an MP thinks their chances are better as a LD MP than as a Lab one, or as a BXP MP than as a Con one.
(Or indeed other way round - if you’re one of the minority of Con Remain MPs in Remain leaning seats, then polls like this make a switch to LDs attractive. Suspect Farage toxicity and differences on other issues make Lab to BXP unlikely though)
All that said, I suspect election of a new Con leader will put paid to this pattern at least temporarily. But there’s a decent chance it returns later.
