Like most of what @GOPChairwoman says, this is misleading.
Here’s why:
It’s fairly obvious what’s happening. It’s hard to point to a president in at least the past half-century who inherited an economy in as good shape as Trump did. Since then, massive deficits have goosed the economy up. The incumbent should be riding high in the polls. ...
... Yet thanks to what even Trump admits is his “unpresidential” behavior, he’s well under 50%, the traditional benchmark for whether an incumbent is on a good trajectory for reelection. Swing voters are uncomfortable with having a nutjob in the White House.
