This is a specious/pointless/tired objection—arguing that “Stars&Bars” battle emblem wasn’t “the Confederate flag.” It was absolutely THE symbol of the slave-holder rebellion, who in fact had no “national flag,” because it was an illegal and traitorous revolt. Not a country.
There were many different “flags of Nazi Germany” too. But we all know the swastika stood for everything the Nazis represented—just as the “battle flag” did for the Confederates.
The battle flag of the Confederate slavers rebellion is also the only authentic symbol of their insurrection, because the war they instigated was their only meaningful activity.
It was not a nation. It was a treasonous conspiracy in defense of the most debased human instincts.
