Instead of partnering up 1:1, we now have women "finding themselves" in their 20s with 20% of men. Later, in their 30s, women will finally settle down with the remaining 80%.

What are the consequences?

Female side:

She becomes jaded & distrustful of all men after having her heart broken again and again.

She will have impossibly high standards as she creates her imaginary idealistic male out of all the best parts of previous lovers.

She will probably never truly love again.

Male side:

He becomes cynical and fatalistic after realizing his place in the sexual market place.

He ceases investing in himself after finding out that the top 20% is genetically predetermined, ending up a lesser, more unattractive version of what could have been.

Synthesis:

Each partner becomes less attractive to the other. They settle down resenting one another, eventually resulting in a divorce with their children losing their faith in marriage stability which begins the cycle anew.

Noone wins here.

Solution: Enforced Monogamy

- Premarital sex ban incentivizing early marriage
- Male guardian required to help choose a man
- Divorce permissible only under extreme circumstances
