Kevin Sorbo is trending, because of this tweet. It's a good demonstration of our increasing polarization. Nobody seems interested in actually changing his mind, but only shouting louder at him. Also, it's a meme -- he's just repeating the argument without thinking it through.
That Sorbo's statement is just a mindless meme is shown by searching for the key words on twitter. This is part of our polarization: people don't come up with their own original arguments, but just repeat attractive arguments by others.

You can't then have a 'debate', because the person who repeats a meme isn't in a position to defend it.
Though in this instance, the other side doesn't seem interested in rational debate either, so I guess it's a push.
