If you use swimming pools that are not well chlorinated, or you love swimming in fresh and warm waters there's an organism called the "brain-eating amoeba" that may grow in such places

Causes death quickly

It enters the victim through the lining inside the nose
There's a case of a child who joined classmates on a swimming excursion, developed a fever about 6 days after the excursion, could not recognize smells, headaches, sensitive to bright lights, stiff neck,

Child died within 3 weeks

Name of this organism is Naegleria fowleri
After this organism gets in through the lining of the nose, it locates the coverings of the brain, the membranes, the high oxygen content of these places makes it multiply faster

They eventually get into the ventricles of the brain.

Be sure of where you swim.
Now you know
This organism is not usually found in salt waters, so won't be found in beaches.

It is very sensitive to pH extremes.
So if you own a pool or manage one. Ensure it's well chlorinated all the time.
