Every candidate is wrong, but you have to elect one of them, and whichever one it is will immediately fail the very policy they were elected to pursue.

They will have only been elected by the Tory membership in the first place. Have no national mandate. Have no majority. And immediately fail what they boasted themselves up to get the job.
Parochial doesn't even begin to describe English political; journalism. It's as if the outside world doesn't exist.
