i understand that yall REALLY want to have sympathy for the crud of the internet - the men who aren't successful with women and who post on reddit about it

but these men are MISOGYNISTS. they are actively harmful. they're not just dorks. you are misdirecting ur empathy
spend two minutes in any of those forums. you're not JUST going to find men giving each other tips on how to be confident

you're going to find a sickening amount of misogyny. advice that hurts women. these dudes are would-be pick up artists who often advise assaulting women

it's fine to not know what you want but my experience is that men invariably muddy the waters
if you're banging someone, and you don't know what you want, don't start acting like you're dating them! don't play hot and cold it fucks w/ people's heads
the stereotype is that women can't have sex without catching feelings

but i think it would be more fair to say that women catch feelings BECAUSE men often muddy the waters of casual sex

i love (read: hate) a theocracy. i love the fact that only certain kinds of people get to decide what life is, when it “begins” and, thus, they get to determine how to control *all* people that get pregnant and what they do.
there is no agreement on what life *is* and if people would literally pay attention to black studies, indigenous studies, women and gender studies, queer studies, etc etc, they would realize that several things that live certainly aren’t considered to have life.

I saw a quote this morning about how “things are not getting worse” - I’m not going to @ the person but I’ll be honest I’m offended. I’m all for positive thing but denying that things most def ARE getting worse is an insult.
We can’t fight effectively if we aren’t honest with ourselves & each other about the reality of what is happening & what is ahead of us. This is WORSE. That is HEALTHY & NORMAL to acknowledge.
This notion that we can “peace & love” our way to true revolution is ahistorical & terrible for our psychological health. It positions anger & rage as things we can’t & shouldn’t feel. It is HARMFUL.
