Sirkka Sari, Finnish actress, 30 June 1939

Fell down an open chimney and into a boiler furnace after she mistook it for a balcony while filming a scene. She died instantly.

Known for his theory of the "four universal elements" (water, fire, air and earth), he jumped into an active volcano believing that he will not die but be reincarnated into an immortal god instead. It did not work.

During the SARS pandemic in 2004, a woman in Taiwan filled her bathtub with 40% alcohol in the hopes of stopping the SARS virus. Her body absorbed too much alcohol, which killed her instead.

A strange case of mass hysteria known as the "Dancing Plague" struck the citizens of The Holy Roman Empire. Victims began dancing in public and lost control of their bodies, dying from heatstroke and exhaustion.
