I have also tried to get to the bottom of how - and whether - the IHRA definition of antisemitism applies in the Labour disciplinary process. I have spoken to people in the party and I am none the wiser than @FactCheck channel4.com/news/factcheck…
There was a lot of confusion around the time of the IHRA definition being ‘adopted’ by labour as to whether a binding vote had happened, whether it would have to be approved by some kind of rules committee or even labour conference but people seem to have moved on.
Note that EHRC have the adequacy of the Labour Rule Book as part of their terms of reference so I assume this will be looked at. But would be good to know now. equalityhumanrights.com/sites/default/…

@paulebowen 3/ The ultimate aim of the case is to change the law to make assisted suicide legal. It is not the first human rights challenge on this issue - the courts have looked at this issue a number of times, e.g. Nicklinson, Purdy, Pretty, Omid T, Lamb. Why will this time be different?

Every Labour MP who continues to defend the indefensible on the party’s handling of antisemitism should be sent to face @Emmabarnett
It shouldn’t need to happen though, as @lloyd_rm’s position was so flimsy that he should never have taken it. He can’t possibly have blithely ignored Williamson’s actions, as he seems to say he did. He’s not the only one.
As this interview demonstrates very neatly, a number of Labour MPs appear to treat antisemitism differently to other forms of racism - becuase it is politically (though not morally) convenient to do so.

The Canadian Government is officially adopting the #IHRA definition of antisemitism, which according to @CIJAinfo includes "anti-Zionism" as well as virtually any criticism of the Israeli government which they consider to be unfair.
This is from @CIJAinfo's press release celebrating Canada's adoption of IHRA, where they explicitly say that "anti-Zionism," "double standards," and "demonization" count as antisemitism under the definition. cija.ca/press-release-…
