Interesting & serious problem here! This is why IMO we will need to accept greater latency to put giant phased arrays in Geo orbit, enabling pencil-thin antenna beams to reuse the same frequencies (with different data streams) in each DIRECTION, not simply in each LOCATION. 1/2
2/3 But to enable such large antennas at Geo we will need to mine the building material in space, from the Moon and/or Near Earth Asteroids, since keeping up with data demands will require upmass faster than it can be launched. Another benefit of such a large comm capability...
3/3...is that it will enable putting the majority of the computing industry of the future — as well as the majority of the power industry of the future, and the entire supply chains that support them — off the planet. That will unburden Earth’s environment by well more than half.
