I can't take it anymore.
In case you haven’t seen, this guy is talking about these drawings by migrant children separated from their families and held in detention. And I’ll tell you how these came about.
The drawings were given to the American Academy of Pediatrics by a mental health clinician volunteering at Catholic Charities Humanitarian Respite Center in McAllen, Texas. (This is a great place to donate, by the way).

The Respite Center is where many migrants leaving the McAllen central processing facility go for a shower, clothes, and food before heading to their next destination.
During the brief stay at the charity respite center, volunteer mental health professionals talked with the children, who drew their experiences in CBP custody.

Recent OIG inspection of the McAllen facility found children under seven years old were being held without their families for over two weeks.

As a lawyer in America, I’m used to seeing how our society treats those deemed least important, all the horrific brutality dished out daily in ways middle America can’t imagine. But the perversely punitive nature of this cruelty is getting to me. And the kids. The fucking kids.
One of my followers, @jdizzl111, just made a $500 donation to @RAICESTEXAS after reading this thread. If you're similarly inclined and looking for a non-religious charity who is helping reunite families and fight inhumane detention, here is the link:
