There is only one reason Trump got elected. One reason only. It's because for many people, being "American" means looking like them, sounding like them, having a name like theirs, sharing the exact same background as theirs. And everyone else isn't welcome. Everyone else is hated
Oh, they will tell you they love "LEGAL" immigrants. They will tell you how their ancestors got here "legally" (in most cases, before there was such a thing as "illegal" immigration), they will tell you that Trump is only after those who "break the law." All of it is bullshit.
Pure, unadulterated bullshit. They don't love immigrants. They like THEIR IDEA of what a "good immigrant" should be. Namely, quiet, appreciative, humble, subservient and, above all, few and far between. This, they can tolerate. When we break out of that perception, we're a threat

A few quick things I've learned recently from interviewing people about social media, which has been super interesting.
(1) Twitter is basically just viewed as a place to read things and keep up with the news. "It’s almost kind of weird to follow friends on Twitter - in my experience. It’s not a social network for people who know each other"
(2) Facebook is a place where your family and people over thirty talk to each other. Older people express concern about privacy and stuff but can't be bothered to move.

I've been reminiscing over Tell-Tale Games and the like they influenced and I've come to the conclusion that the "story" as we think of it in video games is the most disposable part of the entire experience.
The most important part of a video game has and likely always will be how the user interacts with it, aka, "The Gameplay".

The trap that most story-focused games fall into is limiting gameplay for the sake of the story, and I believe that that's a false dichotomy.
A game can have the over the top spectacle of a Devil May Cry game and still have an engaging, dare I say it, artistic story.

In fact, we already do! Devil May Cry 3 and 5 still tell much stronger stories than many give credit for.
