/ Although I still don't think the probability of a guerrilla-level uprising will happen during the upcoming clash between the rising global far-right and what is loosely known as "democratic forces", it doesn't mean there won't be violence.
/ The best case scenario (yes: there is nothing better than this) is the "democratic fronts" win over the far right and push them back into marginal corners of society and economy. Their leaders will still control a good part of the "secondary economy" (criminal organizations).
/ The low-level RWA, the *mass* that sustains their populism, will be extremely upset and angry. There are few things that will exert sufficient persuasion over them so as to (metaphorically) "push them back to the hills". It will be coercive (best case scenario).
/ I am getting disappointed with some American commentators with little mastery of political science and historiography theory and no mastery of international comparative analysis. There is no going back to the false sense of "Americanism" that fertilized public perception.
/ These people who must be pushed back to wherever they want to go, but aggressively expelled from the public conversation because they failed to follow the rules, will not go peacefully. They are the product of generations of cognitively stunted people.
/ It's time to be rational and objective. I've already shared information on the limits to empathy and even to compassion. Let the candidates use these artificial constructs (the nation-state, the nation-state citizenship) to win the election: they are useful tools.
/ They are not lying. They are doing their job of manipulating the masses with the discourse the masses can digest. We need them to do exactly that: win the elections over the far-right. They will be ridiculously emotional, they will be inaccurate and even false.
/ Deal with it. That's the language that can win the elections. The American elections are not important just to the USA. It's the first step to confronting the rising global far-right. It doesn't matter how: it needs to be done.
