A federal grand jury is now also supposedly looking into Elliot Broidy's investment firms and defense contracts.

His defense contracting company, Circinus, signed its first contract in 2014 w/ INSCOM for intelligence services.

They also asked for records on UAE's George Nader.
Both Broidy annd Nader also link back to the #1MDB scandal, which is interesting since Hollywood & Wolf of Wall Street producer Reza Aziz was just arrested in Malaysia for money laundering in the 1MDB case.

Keith Tasher, who owns 3 stores in New York that look like cellphone stores, was arrested in Bahamas & brought back to US to face charges related to money he wired to China that was sent to him from an employee of a Kentucky Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The FInance Director of the Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau, Bridget Johnson, apparently sent him 13 checks totaling over $1 Million and that money came out of Kentucky taxpayer's pocket books.
She was previously arrested back in November, 2018 and charged with theft and abuse of public trust.

South Carolina's US Attorney, along with the FBI and various SC law enforcement reps will hold a press conference tomorrow (Wednesday), June 10, 2019 at 3:00 PM Eastern.

Interesting, too, since AG Barr just visited them on Monday. 😉
Here's the DOJ announcement about AG Barr's visit on Monday. While at the SC Attorney's office, Barr was also briefed on "Operation Brace Yourself," which is the BIGGEST federal #HealthcareFraud investigation in FBI history.

There have already been charges in Operation Brace Yourself, but I think the investigation is ongoing, so it's possible tomorrow's announcement *could" involve more indictment related to it.

I've been wanting to do a thread on Republican fundraiser Elliott Broidy for a while, but I seriously don't know where to start. This guy seems to be up to his neck in all sorts of bizarre scandals. So here's a short rundown of some of the things we've learned about Broidy.
Back in 2009, Broidy pleaded guilty to committing a felony by giving nearly $1 million in illegal gifts to state officials in order to secure a lucrative deal with New York’s public pension fund for his then-firm Markstone Capital Partners. blogs.wsj.com/privateequity/…
Preparing to restock the DOJ at the start of the Trump administration, Jeff Sessions sought out Elliott Broidy for recommendations. The Republican donor’s conviction in that political corruption case years earlier didn’t seem to be a problem. propublica.org/article/elliot…

I’m probably going to catch a lot of flak for this, but it needs to be done. As I watched the House hearing today, I found myself getting increasingly angry at the way Rod Rosenstein was being treated. That’s right. Angry. And I’m going to explain why.
Increasingly I see on Twitter people who absolutely excoriate anyone who disagrees with them. In the past two days I’ve had to block several people, something I do very rarely. I’ve been accused of having “less than 1/2 a brain” and of being “completely worthless”.
I’ve been been accused of being “worse than libs”. I don’t take these things personally. My skin is far to thick for that. But, I also don’t have to subject myself to rude and insolent people whose only goal is to irritate and rile people up. So, I blocked them.
