@NNPCgroup advised Nigerians to remain vigilant and volunteer information to the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), the Industry regulator, or to any law enforcement agency around them, on any station which sells petrol beyond N145 per litre.

3. Until his new appointment, @mkkyari, a geologist, was Group General Manager, Crude Oil Marketing Division of @NNPCgroup and also doubled, since 13th May, 2018, as Nigeria’s National Representative to the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC.

In 2016, FG put a stop to subsidy payments on PMS & asked all marketers to source their own forex and buy products, but in all not sell above N145/litre. The thing is, this worked for a while & then landing cost of PMS was around N100/litre, so these marketers were still

It does appear Kenya’s backed itself into an interesting legal tight spot, on this issue of the VAT exemption on petroleum products coming to an end. This thread will explain why.
First, the background, to bring you up to speed.
When Kenya wrote a new law on Value Added Tax, back in 2013, MPs put in a 3- year long exemption for VAT on petroleum products. That covered everything from the gas you use to cook, to the V-Power Evo & Scooby drivers love so much, to the diesel matatus choke on.
