The “focus on positive” is exactly what my PTSD does NOT need.

Feeds the dissociation.

What fixes it? Get in a safe place. Go back to the event. And GRIEVE. Allow rage, grief, sorrow, fear to freely flow.

I’ve been able to do a few moments. Not back yet but it’s coming.
PTSD is an abnormal trauma response, triggered by failure or absence of the original normal trauma processing.

Go to a safe place and FULLY RETURN TO YOUR TRAUMA.

Even if I only can bear it a few seconds, I feel myself unthawing, returning.

I feel safe enough to shop now.
Anger is the top layer.

Try to hang until that is replaced

By grief

The deepest layer is the FEAR

Make sure you’re ready and in a safe place, best alone

But when I can touch the fear, and come out, it lifts the spell.
