Today @SenateDemsClimate will hold its first hearing with @ClimateMayors to discuss how local leaders are using innovative strategies to address climate change within their cities and how the federal government can best support these efforts.
Despite the Trump Administration’s shortsighted attempts to limit the U.S.’s role in addressing the climate crisis, we as a Nation have an obligation to advance policies to reduce emissions, promote innovation and support our workforce.
I commend Pittsburgh Mayor @billpeduto for being one of these leaders and look forward to his testimony on how other major cities across the country can lead in Pittsburgh’s example.
