My Spanish is a bit too rusty to tell you exactly what they are singing, but wow they are good. Makes me wish I could still play instruments and had time to teach the kids music. It was always my dream to teach the kids music and play instruments. O well.

I cannot complain though. My musical instrument days may be over for now, but my kids are so well behaved and so kind. I think I will buckle down and teach them better pitch, harmony and vocal technique. That will be fun.
But those kids are very good and clearly taught by a pro. No way they get that good without tons of practice. Either way, it is nice to see good musicianship in kids so young.

gotten worse. The left taking the House in a very much rigged election was a big part of the plan. They forced their way to the win with threats of violence behind the scenes. It was rigged, and a part of a deal. But they needed to be given more rope. They are their own worst

to it, there are certain lessons that will be learned, no matter how easy, hard, or insanely brutal it is. Our choice is to choose love, rather than hate, selflessness rather than greed, and understanding/wisdom rather than inflexible viewpoints not based on their real laws.

their own will upon others when things are not going smoothly, rather than take time to study the beat course of action. Things never go smoothly for long with those not trained for the environment they live in. So how do we get stubborn people to listen and learn, when they do
not know that there is any need to do so? Honestly they need to know they cannot solve all the problems themselves. Hard times does that quite well. This is one reason war is so effective at getting people neatly into groups. But war will not solve this problem. It is barbaric,

I got tagged in a meme about Frozone recently, and it got me thinking that instead of doing “The Incredibles 3” (which Pixar hasn’t announced yet, but “The Incredibles 2” made over a billion dollars, so you know they have ideas), Pixar should do a Frozone spinoff. 1/?
So, let’s spitball the idea.

“The Incredibles” has always been about family, right? Like, they have these superpowers and that’s cool, but the point of the first movie always seemed to be “see what this family can do when they work together”. 2/?
And yet, Frozone doesn’t have a family. His wife is heard, but not seen, and as far as I can remember, there’s no talk of them having kids. 3/?

Here are some strategies I use for overcoming creative blocks in music production and writing past the finish line. (a thread, in no particular order but sort of).
1. Get yourself a standalone sequencer (something cheap like an Arturia Beatstep) and try to master it before moving onto a DAW like Logic, ProTools or Ableton. Or compare similarities in workflow to understand how to be efficient in Ableton.
2. Learn how to troubleshoot midi and collaborate with others. Invite someone to test drive your setup and watch them problem solve.

Good morning! It's time for #DiscoverWeekly (h/t @Spotify ofc)
Track 1 is "Lazy Sunday", Small Faces. Impossible not to know for a Brit of a certain age but very listenable, and it's no surprise to find that Johnny Rotten cites the Faces as an influence on his vocal style.
Track 2 is "The Plastic Age", The Buggles (1980). Never heard it, very good indeed. The vocals flip between sounding like Suggs and Jon Anderson, and the whole thing goes down very nicely.
Track 3, "A Girl Called Johnny", The Waterboys. Just a bit dull for my taste, although this might be a case of Seinfeld Is Unfunny; so influential that all the bands who copied them have soured me on the sound. Nothing terrible though.
