The amazing thing is this guy LEANED ALL THE WAY OVER the counter to grab her, tried to drag her over the counter, held on while she punched him, then you can hear the “Excuse me!” as he tries to COMPLAIN. What the hell is wrong with a guy like that?
Just like that British minister who grabbed that protester by the neck and marched her out of the party, I’ll tell you this — man does that in public, no way it’s the first time he’s put hands on a woman.
I’ve been told that as an entitled white man I get whatever I want, so what I want is to see his ass in jail.

1) I usually stay studiously neutral in WGA politics, but I feel this cannot be passed by. The agentless staffing season did not hurt and may have helped with diversity in the writers room.
2) With all due respect, I have not heard the Nagy slate detail what they wish to achieve by re-engaging the Big Four *on their terms*. I know what the current goals are. A different approach, sure, may be legitimate —but to *what end*?
3) I have yet to hear —and I would love to be corrected — anyone state “we want to return to the bargaining table to accomplish X,Y, and Z”. Anyone who knows me knows — I want to hear the goddam plan.

Every day for of my adult life, I've wondered "Am I wrong? Should I try to do better?" and read philosophy and history and tried to listen and failed and tried again & these people's ability to live life utterly convinced they have never, ever been wrong is fucking magnificent.
And I'm one of the confident ones! COMPLETELY UNDERSERVEDLY so! Ask anyone who's worked with me, my genial arrogance in the face of executives is my super-power! Yet I am just gobsmacked.

This headline is somewhat misleading, as Moore stated that while he is retiring from *writing* comics, he will instead be "... *apparating* comics directly from the mythic ur-Dream directly into the minds of those who need them most."

Both Bushes, McCain, Romney, after the fierce intense blowback from the political elite class for DARING to bring up how Democrats like Cummings have completely failed Baltimore, would be curled into a sobbing ball at this point.

Trump?

Trump is still focusing that laser pointer on how Democrats have utterly failed Baltimore and now the media will again spend all day talking about it while facts about how bad things are there will keep surfacing.

Unlike GOP or "Conservative Inc." or Never Trump, who often only **pretend** to be picking a fight with the Democrats/Progressives & radical activists out there undermining our cities & our institutions, Trump is an actual outsider who came to DC to kick their asses.

It isn't that Mueller is stupid or mentally impaired, it's just that his "investigation" was never an investigation, it was always supposed to be a political assassination.
The political assassination had to come from what they had, and they he best they had was Hillary's hack piss dossier hit job.

What they had was so bad that it couldn't be used in the campaign for President, and besides, Hillary was sure to win.
Once Hillary lost, the fruitless spying against Donald Trump was melded together with Hillary's hapless opposition research, and with a lot of help from the complicit press, they tried to make their obtuse insult to intellect fly.

Garrison is a normal town. Disgustingly normal, even. It has a normal mayor, normal sheriff, norma baker, normal tailor, normal blacksmith.

Well... mostly normal blacksmith. Some might say he’s odd just by virtue of who his son is — Keith Kogane.
Keith is probably the one truly odd thing about Garrison. The thing is, no one can quite put their finger on /why/ he’s so odd. Sure, he’s a bit of a loner, but something has always set him apart as different.

Not that Keith cares. He’s got his dad, and that’s all he needs.

Over the last few days, it's become clearer and clearer to me that, without intervention, coverage of the 2020 campaign is likely to be a disaster for everyone except Trump and his core voters, who want to watch it all burn anyway. In this thread I describe the danger I see. 1/
By "disaster for everyone," I mean all candidates opposing Trump, journalists themselves, voters from all sides (except those who have exited from the news system by merging with his hate campaign against the news media) and anyone who seeks the repair of American democracy. 2/
Start with the simple fact of inertia. In ruins after the debacle of 2016, the horse race model and "game" schema that have instructed campaign journalism for at least 40 years are up and running again. It appears the bosses have no better ideas, and no will to develop them. 3/

Thing is, these stories getting out wouldn’t have stopped Trump.
That’s the most amazing thing about this whole thing. That they felt they needed to make these hush payments from the campaign because somehow these affairs would have done him in & voters definitely would have swung to Hillary then.
Maybe it’s easy to look back or it’s a confirmation that Trump and his campaign never really thought they were going to win.
