Bob spotted the add for the $12,995 Alpina and couldn't help but be intrigued. To think that he could have all of that luxury for less than $13,000 so he sells his Corolla and buys the Alpina.

The first few week of ownership are great. Quick accelerations off the line in comfort
Week 3 comes around and Bob isn't so happy with his Alpina as his door handle stops working and he has to climb in through the passenger side. It's a minor annoyance and is fixed after he pays a few hundred dollars for a replacement and spends a weekend working on it.
Another week passes by and the check engine light comes on. He goes to his local AutoZone and they give him a general diagnostic code but tell him that it could be 1 of 12 issues related to that code and that he should see a BMW specialist.
The specialist keeps the car for a few days and calls back to let Bob know that some solenoid was not cooperating and after hours of testing they were able to figure it out. Luckily for him, it will only be $1,200 for all of that work.
Bob is happy to pick up the car from the specialist but on the way home, he hits a pothole and cuts one of his tires. He gets a tow to the local tire store where he find out that the 285/30R21 rear tires aren't very common and that he will have to wait 2 days for a replacement.
The tire store calls letting Bob know that the new tire is in but that they found a crack in the wheel so he'll need a replacement. They recommend finding a used one on eBay since that will probably only be $900 which is much cheaper than new ones. Bob orders the wheel.
Bob puts the wheel in his rental Camry and takes it over to the tire store. They mount his $300 tire on the $900 wheel and since they feel bad for him they offer to follow him to drop the rental off.
They arrive back at the tire place and Bob gets into his Alpina only to realize that he didn't miss it all that much compared to the Camry so he decides to ride over to the Toyota dealership to see what they have to offer.
Bob find a nice ruby red Camry XLE on the lot with a sticker of $31,745. He takes it for a drive and loves it. He comes back and negotiates with the salesperson and they agree to sell it to him for $27,500 which makes him happy.
He tells them that he wants to trade the Alpina and get $7,500 for it to make the Camry end up at an even $20,000. He takes advantage of the 1.9% financing offer and ends up with a payment of $375 per month for 60 months.
Bob drives off happy and enjoys that his Camry has included maintenance for a couple of years. The dealership takes the Alpina to auction and barely breaks even as they end up selling it for $7,900 but they earned enough on the sale of the Camry to call it good.
The Alpina is purchased at the auction by a Buy Here Pay Here dealership and ends up being sold for $2,000 down with a weekly payment of $275 for 40 weeks. The buyer runs into a repair that he can't cover in week 3 and decides that he has to take drastic measures.
He makes sure that the car has fire coverage and pays some shady neighborhood characters $500 to burn it down. He calls the police and makes a report and calls his insurance company. They assign an investigator to meet the Alpina owner.
The Alpina owner stares at the email waiting in anticipation for Robert the investigator to show and keeps replaying the story in his head and his explanation of why the car was parked down the block near and industrial complex.
The day finally arrives for his appointment time and the Alpina owner steps outside to meet a cheery character stepping out of a Camry and saying "Hi, I'm Bob."
