Some of you are impossible to fathom, but easy to predict. Let's say you hate Trump with a deep and abiding passion, yet he somehow manages to pass a few things you say that you dearly love. Wouldn't it be smart to take the win while trying to figure out a way to replace him?
For a surprisingly large number of you, that answer is -apparently- no. Instead, we're treated to a non-stop barrage of not only Orange Man Bad, but why these things I said I wanted are actually terrible because Dorito Man was the one who made it happen.
Let's be clear: Trump is a loud, brass, narcissistic boor with really, really bad impulse control. Yet when he manages to accomplish something useful, I a) give the thumbs up and b) continue to wish he'd lose his phone.
You (some of you), on the other hand, state how terrible these things are because, well, you don't give a reason beyond your hatred of Cheeto Jesus. Let's just say that your "fervent" desire for said things in the past is now viewed with deep suspicion.
And what really gives the game away is when you say "Welp, the only way to save conservatism is to vote en masse for people who will pass things I've stated repeatedly that I oppose."
At that point, everyone smiles, nods and says "Ahh, now I get it" because you've shown yourself to be a fraud re: principles and a classist.
For the record, I appreciate you exposing yourselves for who you really are. And I will take all the blame for believing that some of you actually meant what you said in the past.
