Me; Eh, it's stupid and I disagree with it, but whatever.

A growing number of people on the left: I HATE IT AND WE SHOULD TOTALLY DOX THAT GUY AND HARASS HIS FAMILY AND HARASS HIM AT WORK AND MAKE HIM UNEMPLOYABLE AND WHO CARES IF HE GETS HURT HAHA.
Be aware that this pestilent attitude of yours has been noted. When things go south, and they will unless we reverse course yesterday, everyone will know who advocated and instigated violence against their opponents.
I hope you enjoying reaping the whirlwind as much as you appear to enjoy sowing the wind. Probably not as much as I will enjoy it though. Just an FYI.
And I say this as someone who does NOT want widespread civil unrest. Quite the contrary. However, far too many of you seem hellbent on creating it and I'll be damned if I'll say "thank you sir, may I have another".

There is a nonsensical straw man of an argument going on right now vis a vis social media. Let me explain.
There is no question, none at all, that most of the left will get a pass for things which will get those NOT on the left deplatformed. As you might imagine, many not on the left find this asymmetry to be untenable.

I'm still flabbergasted at the brain donors who keep saying "Obama cut the deficit more than any other president in history!" Sure, create $1 billion deficits and have them shrink to only $600 million is properly managing the money.
Riddle me this, morons: if he cut the deficit SO much, how did the debt more than double while he was in office?
I've got no use for any politician who bleats about the deficit and/or debt and then spends more, but trying to pretend (and that's what it is: pretense) that Obama was awesome on spending is so detached from reality that it beggars belief.

I've opposed unilateral executive action since before many of you were born, but let me repeat: you cannot keep playing by the rules while letting your opponent play Calvinball.
Eventually, people figure out the asymmetric nature of the conflict and realize they'd be fools to continue constraining themselves.
Yes, this is terrible, but it's also predictable and predicted. Seriously, pretending that neither human nature nor history exist is ridiculous. At least try to understand why we are where we are.

BJP went after NDTV, they made websites like : TheWire, Quint, Scroll, TNM etc.

BJP went after TheWire for Jay Shah case, they stayed put and turned to AIB. Created an influencer out of a mobile reviewer (Dhruv Rathee).

When will the BJP understand how to build an ecosystem?
