Without An End Game

1/4The Zanu PF regime has neither a game plan, strategy, methodology nor clearly set out deliverables.

2/4 Multiple faceted approaches to the complexities that have visited our nation, ought to be identified, acknowledged, and draw up an inclusive methodology that prioritizes yet move to address all the interrelated aspects simultaneously in a carefully managed nonpartisan manner.

3/5 In order to be attractive, instill confidence, and reassure the nation and all stakeholders, a commitment and pronouncement of specific milestones as follows: (a) Constitutionalism - Parliament to align all outstanding and repeal all unconstitutional laws within 120 days.

4/7 (b) Anti-Corruption - identify prosecute with a view to end, recover, forfeit stolen or looted value within a national moratorium. Volunteered returns within the moratorium to receive considerate reviews. Otherwise it will be an endless witch hunt. We want to turn the page.

5/ 7 (c) Demilitarize, Security sector review, and redefining the role of Govt. Focus on the rule of law and observation of human rights. Strict adherence to constitutional provisions. Effective policing and aggressive nationwide anti-corruption drive in the police and judiciary.

6/7 (d) Service delivery in public sector and councils. Underwritten, automated, and tracked turnaround systems/services. Process re-engineering, and removal of bottlenecks and bureaucracy. (e) Commitment to phased reduction of public sector including Parliamentarians.

7/8 (f) Refine the exploration, valuation, extraction, and marketing of our minerals. Laws, regulations, and processes. (g) Securitization of Gold with a view of introducing the Gold Based Currency. In the interim underwrite our currency with foreign cover (instrument available).

8/8 (h) Implement swift poverty alleviation programs Basic Income Grant equal to the poverty datum line. (i) Retirement
age downward review for public servants and uniformed forces. Economic integration programs to support such cases. Introduce a new culture and new thinking.

9/9 (j) Reduction of budget deficit by production volumes and removal of leakages and porous economic systems. Review the valuation of national assets. Privatization, and structured PPP's and BOT's must unlock new value. (k) Reduce individual taxes to enhance disposable incomes.

These prescriptions require multi dimensional, simultaneous, and concurrent application. Zimbabwe is in dire straits and must be redeemed by a people oriented leadership, that is honest and God fearing.
