1/ A story of family strength + resilience

Less than a yr ago Lux incredible COO Steve Brody had bad cough, got it imaged & in a week had a baseball sized tumor + 1/3 of his lung removed

The Lux family rallied around Steve + his family & he was at our Annual mtg weeks later...
2/ They reminded us of how fragile + vulnerable life is & to appreciate everyone + everything. We all felt so lucky Steve made it through.

Our hearts were smashed a few weeks ago when bad luck struck + Steve’s youngest son Jacob at 5 was found with a neuroblastoma...WTF?!...
3/ Abby + Steve are warrior parents. The kind we all’d be lucky to have. They immediately mobilized every top scientist, researcher, VC into action.

—and now poker...

The first guy, Abraham by name, felt up the trunk and declared elephant is long & flexible.
When the elephant started probing with its trunk, seeking food, Abraham pushed his son to front.

Next guy Moses, when he approached, elephant lifted up its head & trunk.
Moses reached its leg, declared it is solid, straight like pillar & not flexible. He issued commandments, rigid, inflexible & hard as elephant hide.

Eu lembro que alguns dos meus professores instigavam a competição de notas entre alunos, faziam questão de dizer a nota dos outros em voz alta e até mesmo humilhar os que não tinham a nota “tão alta”. Outros professores batem no peito pra dizer: comigo ninguém passa.
Naquela época quando eu era ingênua e não tinha aprendido a me impor, ainda não tinha mais de 10 anos na academia, achava normal. Normal pq eu só tinha aquilo como parâmetro. Então eu fui percebendo que eu sentia inveja de alguns colegas. Eu me pegava perguntando: quanto tirou?

2. Desi Ghee was locally made product sustaining Indian Economy-on other hand-So Called ‘Vanaspati ghee’was a type of vegetable shortening made up of hydrogenated or highly saturated vegetable oil and made to just’mimic desi Ghee’🤔!

It was a Fake Product to fool the Indians 😎
3. Proper ‘Desi Ghee ‘ was expensive & Lever Brothers, now Unilever (Hindustan Unilever in India), knew there was a market for a substitute for desi ghee, since many Indians could barely afford Ghee in those days 😨

I have my issues🤷‍♀️! I always wanted to prove myself & make my family proud(2nd child). A pressure that was just in my head; they were always proud of us. I wanted to grow up to be a doctor or an army officer like my dad. Let's just say I changed my mind! #VoicesIWS @IWS_Network

In late-August of 2010, my dear first-cousin was diagnosed with inoperable, non-curable, small-cell lung #cancer. He and I were raised like #siblings and cared for one another as brother and sister, a very close-knit family.
My #cousin was an amazing man, husband, and father to twin boys; who were only 14 when he died in September 2017. He died at his home, surrounded by his family and friends…just how he’d wished.

1/ This is very interesting. Apparently there is a missing section from Corbyn’s speech which was edited out of the YouTube video. It actually clears things up in my mind. It’s much simpler now and the ambiguity has basically gone (short thread)
2/ I haven’t seen a full video but assuming this is correct, this makes it very clear, in my mind, that Corbyn was in fact, referring to British Jews in general when he later spoke of “Zionists”. It makes much more sense in the context.
3/ He’s making a broad historical sweep - from the good Jews of the early 20th century, who were “Jewish trade unionists and Jewish people in the East End of London” to the bad Jews of the 21st Century, the Zionists. It’s very clear.
