1) In my 16 years experience as a Therapist, Transformational Coach, Emotional Intelligence Practitioner, and a spiritual leader, I have observed that we underestimate the symbiosis between friendship and mental health.

2) And when I say friendship, I don't mean the word 'acquaintances' or 'tribe'.

I mean humans who don't just discuss the word love, they live it.

3) Tribe members who understand that real friendship is like a covenant. An emotional blueprint of shared values, beliefs and imperfections.

Friends who enjoy the news of your success.

4) Friends who won't be consumed by jealousy and envy if you become richer than them.

Friends who won't betray you for likes and retweets.

5) Friends who will go to the grave with the secrets you shared.

Friends who understand that it's both of you versus poverty. Not both of you versus each other.

6) Friends who are aware that arguments are failed bids to connect not a battle of ego.

Deep conversations & real friendships are eroding and I can categorically tell you that life is harder without covenant friends. Friends who nurture you back to sanity. Friends who give life.

7) When you find them, protect them, preserve them, don't chase them away with your anyhowness.
