This is a very very very common conversation I have with people - almost always developers - who are interested in 30x500 but worries about audience selection. (1/3)

- avoiding audiences where they have the greatest advantage
- avoiding formats because of random assumptions
(2/3)
- "how many people are making $180k?"
- "but really, what about this other audience I don't belong to?"
- more assumptions about an industry where "common knowledge" is easily overturned by a tiny bit of research

- me reminding them that the problems/challenges they percieve are exactly why our tools and processes exist, and are worth learning.
Its worth noting: I give this exact same advice to students AFTER they buy 30x500.

We don't say anything special or different to people contemplating a $2k purchase. No plumped up claims or platitudes. Just honest, reasonable advice and the truth about how we can help.
Also; I'd never share a chat like this if there was anything *remotely* identifying. This conversation is almost word for word identical with countless others.

A peek inside the @30x500 early enrollment email system.

This 6 email sequence is sent to _only_ our enrollment waiting list (approx 18% of our total list). It converts between 1.6-3% list-to-sale, on a 4 figure purchase.
Wrapped up this sales sequence last night with our 2nd best early enrollment numbers since 2016.

Only better was this past January, which tends to be out best launch of the year anyway (new year momentum, etc).
Notable: it took us 4ish years of testing (and the addition of my recent strategies in how we design and automate our launches) to build our launch numbers back up to what they were when we ran 30x500 as a limited-seating live bootcamp.

My trip to India last month was part of my annual pilgrimage to connect with and study the Asian #coworking ecosystem and connect/reconnect with my community there.

And since returning, I’ve been thinking a lot about how much coworking has changed in the last 12-24 months.
And for the first time in a while, I can say I see changes in coworking that are for the BETTER.

It’s still early, so it’s subtle. But in the bigger context it makes more sense and as I describe what I’ve seen, I’ve been getting a lot of nodding heads.

So lemme break it down.

I’ve been trying to get my best friend Erik to quit his job and go independent for like…10 years.

He’s not in tech. He works in wine.

He finally took the step in December. Today he’s named a Sommolier of the year by Food and Wine Magazine.

in watching the reputation bonfire of elon's vanity currently raging in norway where $TSLA has dropped from 4th to 51st in reputational ranking in a year, i got to thinking: just what props up this rep in the US and will it follow norway?

let's explore.
let's face it, $TSLA has truly RABID fans. their unconditional love never ceases to amaze. break down? i love it! cracked roof? i love it! won;'t start? LUUVRE! 3 months for parts? speedbump! they simply will not allow their frunkpuppies to be seen in another brand.
so why, given so much less time getting the same beatings, have the vikings turned on musk so quickly?

my theory: because EV's are not special in norway.

everyone has one. they are all over the place. and people are using them as actual cars, not as virtue signaling jewelry.

In 2018, the newly elected @fordnation govt, who told voters both during and after the campaign that the #BasicIncome Pilot begun in 2017 would continue for 3 years as planned, canceled it and refused to gather data.

Of the 424 recipients surveyed, comprising 9.4% of the total experimental population, 44.5% were employed part-time or full-time, which points to a possible increase overall in employment from 35%, with a possible increase in PT work, decrease in FT work, and more volunteering.
In the baseline survey (the only official data gathered as part of the OBIP's launch) about 11% of participants volunteered in their communities. Among the recipients in this survey over 25% volunteered. These unfortunately can't be directly compared, but it seems noteworthy IMO.

Lose Fat first, or build muscle?

You do BOTH people, they’re not mutually exclusive

-lift weights
-eat a high protein diet
-eat a whole foods based diet

You can lose fat and build muscle at the same time, especially when you’re a beginner
An increase in muscle mass proportionally decreases your fat mass percentage as well

And if you’re overly fat, it’s common to build muscle and lose almost simultaneously
“Recomping”, reducing fat and increasing muscle

This is very common in beginners and untrained people, it’s not hard to do proved the diet and training is dialed in
