None of this is simple; everyone needs to make their own decisions when it comes to peaceful resistance (not the hashtag, but actual counter-occupation tactics). But I believe POTUS makes it clear what he looks for is reaction. The louder it gets, more he will throw matches. /1
But it is very much worth a civil, factual, informed conversation with solid experts from diverse fields discussing tactics, responses, gaming it out. There are good historical examples to pull from, but they must be updated with the data-driven everything assumptions. /2

The bottom line is, also as @AshaRangappa_ mentioned -- POTUS/ultra right/Team-burn-it-all-down are winning. And that isn't going to be good for longevity of America. /3
